Ascent’s noise and vibration services include the preparation of technical studies and environmental assessment documentation that address both plan and project-level construction and operational impacts.

We provide high-caliber and comprehensive work in this resource area by relying on our extensive experience in both the private and public sectors on wide variety of project types including, but not limited to, residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use development; transportation plans and roadway improvements; construction and demolition; mining; aircraft; railway; educational facilities; correctional institutions; general, specific, and master plans; wastewater treatment plants; and landfills and transfer stations.

Our analyses are conducted in accordance with standards and guidance from federal, state, and local agencies including the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), and county/city planning departments. This includes the use of numerous mobile and stationary source models, including  the Traffic Noise Model (TNM), Roadway Construction Noise Model (RCNM), Helicopter Noise Model (HNM), and many others. . We also perform ambient sound level measurements and monitoring, monitoring of mobile and stationary sources, contour development, and we develop noise abatement strategies.
